The author supports her argument that zoos fail to educate the public about wildlife conservation by using the following evidence.
In January 2014, the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums (WAZA) conducted a survey of people who had recently visited a zoo. The survey found that fewer than 10 percent of zoo visitors left their visit with a greater understanding of biodiversity and its importance. An even smaller percentage — only 4.5 percent — said they would support conservation by supporting zoos or by other means. Evaluate the extent to which the evidence represents logical reasoning.

(A) The reasoning logically uses data collected by an organization of zoos to indicate that any efforts they are making to educate visitors are falling short.
(B) The reasoning logically uses statistics collected from various locations to indicate that only a small percentage of zoos really provide educational material.
(C) The evidence fails to represent logical reasoning because it relies on the reader's own experience with zoos and aquariums to develop conclusions.
(D) The evidence fails to represent logical reasoning because it suggests that zoos could do better at educating the public if they had more support and sympathy.

Those who spoke Egyptian instead of Greek were often barred from positions of leadership in ancient Egypt.

Incomplete question. However, I answered from a general perspective,

Answer:

C. Leaders who speak multiple languages have enhanced opportunities to connect with their followers and other leaders.

Explanation:

Indeed, most people would expect a leader with multiple language speaking abilities to better connect with followers and other leaders.

For example, a leader who apart from speaking French, also speaks English and Arabic would easily find it easy to form connections with other leaders who speak these languages.

Answers

Answer:

My best friend ad me went walking just to get some fresh air and walk the dog. Many people laughed while they watched us come walking down the road, me and my friend ignored them and just kept walking. My dog just looked and watched me and my friend as we walked down the street. Once we got home we all sat down and watched TV. While doing so, we hear the door and I got up to get it, then came back and sat down.  I had a thought and could not remember it so I went outside and watched the sunset.

Explanation:

sorry if u don't like it

A man went on a walk with his best friend, his dog. He went through a rough past, feeling lonely every step of the way, but ever since he saved the roughed-up dog from the shelter, he changed, in a good way. The both of them went through the same thing, different species, different experiences, but in the end, they both saved each other without even noticing. They go on walks every afternoon to release the negative thoughts from their past trauma, and the picture shows them in the middle of their walk.

Honestly, I didn't understand if you wanted a made-up story behind it or if you wanted to describe how it looks, but if your talking about the looks just message me. :) And yes I know this isn't the best but as I said in my recent answers, it's very late, and I'm tired lol.

A essay about a person who became a hero

Answers

Answer:

hi

Explanation:

Heroes have to consist of many things. They have to be brave, have good morals, and help out society in some way. These are only a few standards of becoming a hero. Someone can be a hero to someone else and not even know it. Not only can the big people be heroes, but the small ones as well. No matter what size or character one is he/she can become a hero. By portraying the characteristics of loyalty, bravery, and the willingness to help out someone or something in society. They must also have valued morals.

The perfect hero I would imagine is someone who can defend others, not only by fighting, but standing up for what is right. They should also be able to correct the wrongs in society or at least some of them. Bravery is probably one of the most important factors of a hero. How is one going to pursue someone or something if they are scared? No one wants to have a wimp for a hero. Having good morals is another characteristic of becoming a hero. People look at others who have high valued morals with respect and envy. I know I wish my morals were higher than what they are. That is why heroes come about, to set examples and become leaders to others in society. That brings me to my last point on being a perfect hero.

A hero must do well within society. What is a hero if he has done nothing good? A hero must be able to make wise decisions to better the people within society. They must stand up for what is right, express how others should act towards each other. The ideal hero does not have to be Superman with superhuman powers or anything like that, but one that is able to set examples, protect others, and have highly valued morals.

Many people can portray these features, but not just any old somebody can be your own hero. It depends on your personality as well as theirs. Why would one have a hero that does not share the same interests as one another?

Many industrial companies and car manufacturers design solutions to reduce pollution. Even so, chemicals still enter the atmosphere. Some of these pollutants combine with water in the air to form acid rain.

Which property of acids would cause acid rain to damage buildings over time?

A. Acids taste sour.
B. Acids react with metals.
C. Acids react with limestone.
D. Acids react with indicators.

Answers

Answer:

Explanation:

C

The property of acids that would cause acid rain to damage buildings over time is - Acids react with limestone. Therefore option C is correct.

What is Acid Rain?

Rain or any other kind of precipitation that is exceptionally acidic, that is, with high quantities of hydrogen ions, is referred to as acid rain. While the neutral pH range for most water, including drinking water, is between 6.5 and 8.5, acid rain often has a pH between 4-5.

Acid rain has a negative impact on the ecology of aquatic places including streams, lakes, and marshes because it can harm fish and other animals. As rainwater percolates through the soil and eventually enters streams and lakes, it may dissolve aluminum from soil clay particles.

However, acid rain is typically caused by human activity. When fossil fuels are burned, they leak sulfur and nitrogen oxides into the environment. This also happens in factories, oil refineries, power plants, and automobiles.

A chemical process that starts when gases like sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides are discharged into the atmosphere leads to acid rain. These compounds have the ability to ascend extremely far into the sky, where they combine and react with oxygen, water, and other chemicals to produce acid rain, an additional type of acidic pollution.

Acid rain results from a chemical reaction that begins when gases into the atmosphere, such as sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides, are released. These substances can go very high into the atmosphere, where they combine and interact with oxygen, water, and other chemicals to form acid rain, another kind of acidic pollution.

which is an example of a verb phrase in the sentence "saundra could have taken the easy route, but she focused on the reward of better physical fitness and ran up the hilly road instead of the flat road

Answers

Answer:

Ran up.

Explanation:

A verb is one of the parts of speech in English language. Verbs can be defined as any word that describes an action, occurrence, or state of existence. Some examples of verb are dance, sing, walk, play, run, sit, etc.

A verb phrase is simply the part of a sentence that contains both a verb and either an indirect or direct object.

Additionally, an object refers to the person, thing, idea or place that receives an action performed by the subject. Also, a direct object is the specific thing a subject acts upon and as such it answers the question of what, whom or who.

Hence, an example of a verb phrase in the sentence "Saundra could have taken the easy route, but she focused on the reward of better physical fitness and ran up the hilly road instead of the flat road" is ran up because it defines the dependent action.

Air Tampa has just been incorporated, and its board of directors is grappling with the question of optimal capital structure. The company plans to offer commuter air services between Tampa and smaller surrounding cities. Air Tampa believes it would have the same business risk as Jaxair, which is an airline that has been around for a few years and that has had zero growth. Jaxair's market-determined beta is 1.8, and it has a current market value debt ratio (total debt to total assets) of 45% and a federal-plus-state tax rate of 25%. (A) According to People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), a nonprofit organization that fights for animal rights, only 18 percent of animals in United States zoos are actually endangered. Zoos spend tons of money on building enclosures for these animals while doing little to nothing to restore habitats or stop poaching in wild environments. (B) According to the opinion article "All the Reasons Why Zoos Should Be Banned," published by Vice in 2015, polar bears in captivity have up to 18,000 times less space in zoos than they do in the wild. Animals cannot live full, healthy lives in captivity. Seventy-five percent of elephants kept in zoos are overweight, and 40 percent of lion cubs pass away before their full life span potential. (C) The British Broadcasting Company (BBC) has reported that around 3,000 to 5,000 animals are killed each year in zoos in Europe. Many more animals show signs of zoochosis, a psychological disorder observed in zoo animals that leads to pacing, bar biting and obsessive behavior. (D) Rather than scrambling for resources that will never prove adequate to the animals in their care, zoos should instead make an effort to reintroduce the animals into natural habitats where they can thrive on their own.
